Typically, schools visit during the winter for 2, 3 or 4 day trips. We take students on snowshoe nature hikes, learning about the woods in winter, finding animal tracks in the snow and discussing the winter life-cycle. We take students on cross-country ski adventures on our ski trails throughout our 1,400 acres of conservation lands. Through exploring, we may find otter slides, porcupine tracks, beaver lodges and all kinds of evidence of the animals that live here, if not the animals themselves!
Snow doesn't stop our leadership development programs! Students will work together to overcome team challenges on our low ropes course. We also run series of teambuilding exercises to teach students to work together cohesively, and to communicate better with one another. Additionally, our Alpine Tower and Indoor Climbing Wall are available for a high ropes experience. Learn more about School Programs

Family gatherings are important - whether they are reunions, parties or just to spend time with one another. Winter is a great time for this - relaxing by the fire drinking hot chocolate while the kids are out doing active, healthy activities with our professional staff. Or go along with them and explore the magical world of the outdoors in winter. All activities are available. Learn more about Family Retreats
No winter experience is complete without coming home to a warm lodge, drinking hot chocolate and sitting by an open fire.
Of course, we also serve three meals a day, and accommodate for vegetarians and allergy diets. Our meals always include a salad bar [yoghurt and fruit breakfast bar at breakfast] and a dessert.
Rates start at $39 per person, per day for overnight programs. To learn more about our rates, visit: bccymca.org/rates.
