Family Camps are the perfect opportunity to get away from the 'real world' and relax up here in the Berkshires. We have a variety of Family Camps to choose from, ranging from the week-long Becket Family Camp in August, to the 3 day Memorial Day Family Camp in Spring, Fall Foliage Family Camp for those wanting to be among the changing leaves in the Fall, and the parties & carnivals of New Year's Family Camp.

Becket Family Camp
August 18-24, 2008
Our week-long Becket Family Camp is the highlight of the family camp calendar. With longstanding traditions, this family camp is one of the greatest family camps in the country. Almost every activity the summer camp has to offer is present at Becket Family Camp. Accommodation is in Camp Becket cabins, and in Gibson Hall. Families may also bring tents and camp out on Becket's Lacrosse Field. Becket Family Camp usually books out very early. Be sure to inquire as soon as possible! Becket Family Camp is 7 days long and begins on the 3rd Monday in August. |

Memorial Day Family Camp
May 23-26, 2008
Come delight in the spring season at Chimney Corners Camp. Families will enjoy a relaxing weekend with a variety of activities for all ages. Nature, crafts, canoeing, kayaking, climbing tower and swimming are some of the activity highlights. This program is ideal for families with a new camper at our summer camp program, as an introduction to the camp. Families participating in Memorial Day Family Camp stay in the modern lodges at Chimney Corners Camp. Memorial Day Family Camp 3 days long and is held from Friday to Monday of Memorial Day Weekend, every year. |

Fall Foliage Family Camp
October 10-13, 2008
This weekend sees Camp Becket at it’s most beautiful when the foliage reaches it’s peak. Enjoy the season by participating in traditional fall activities; carving pumpkins, pressing cider, and sitting by the fire. Activities such as canoeing, kayaking, ropes course, archery and climbing tower can be enjoyed as well. Housing for this program is in Camp Becket’s rustic cabins.
Fall Foliage Family Camp is 3 days long and is held from Friday to Monday of Columbus Day Weekend, every year. |

New Year's Family Camp
December 29, 2008 - January 1, 2009
Make your New Year’s celebration a family event! Escape to the Berkshires for 3 days of family fun and recreation at Chimney Corners Camp. Crafts, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and ice skating are just some of the activities offered. A New Year’s carnival and celebration are a perfect ending to the holiday season.
New Year's Family Camp is 3 days long and begins every year on December 29th and ends on January 1st. |

Our Family Camp Staff
Our staff are the best asset to our programs. A diverse range of staff from a variety of countries return year after year to run our Outdoor Center programs, including our family camps. The extensive cultural diversity and interesting perspective each of them brings to our organization and to our guests is truly an exceptional contribution to the programs. And our seasoned veterans are the best staff in their field, passionate about living and working here in the Berkshires.
The Berkshire Outdoor Center staff are well trained in working with children of a variety of ages, and adults too!
