We have some fantastic program opportunities for colleges - our fastest growing market! Any of our programs can be tailored for your specific colleges needs. We can do as much of the planning as you want - all of it if you need!
Our programs are primarily designed to strengthen relationships between individual students, between students and faculty, between guests and staff, and between people and the environment.
The Berkshire Outdoor Center's Programs for Colleges can be summarized in the following packages. Please choose the package that applies best to your college:

- Icebreaker Orientation Program
This is a freshmen orientation program. New students in a new school can struggle to get to know one another. This program brings students together, to help them make new friends and feel comfortable in a new environment. All the students are on equal footing and participate together. This is our second most popular college program. (more)

- Leadership Development Program
Educational programs for schools, colleges, youth groups and adult groups that emphasize teamwork, cooperation, communication and leadership skills, through physical, mental and emotional challenges and risk-taking. These activities take place in a cooperative, community environment and emphasize the relationship between self and the group. This is our most popular program. (more)

- College Recreation Program
Designed for colleges that wish to take a relaxing break together, or for college groups that want to focus on specific activities, such as climbing, swimming, kayaking, use of our ropes courses or winter activities. This option is typically good for end-of-year trips, or for recreational sport groups. (more)

- Design-Your-Own College Program
This option is for college groups who wish to mix-and-match, using activities from various programs and tailor them to fit the their needs. All activities are on the table, and organizers can choose from activities under Outdoor Education, Environmental Education, Adventure Recreation and Leadership Development. (more)

- Run-Your-Own College Program
A slight variation to many of our other options for colleges and universities includes run-your-own workshops. The whole idea is that the training or meeting that you hold here can be enhanced by some of our programming. (more)

- Facility Rental
Whilst the majority of colleges and universities that attend our programs like to participate in our activities, occasionally we have groups that just need a facility to meet and run their own workshops or meetings. Our facilities are fantastic for this, and are definately available for colleges to use for such meetings and workshops. (more)
