Fresh, Mouthwatering Meals |
|
Time and time again our Food Service staff receive incredible accolades for the delicious meals they serve. The eclectic meals are deliciously hot, nutritious and well-balanced creations from our unparalleled chefs – Shaz, Mik, Keith, and the rest of their teams.
Our menus are blends of international recipes, themselves with multicultural influences, and years of experience in creating such culinary sensations. Shaz, Mik and Keith, in their innate desire to create things “their way” have developed absolutely sensational menus that comprise of an incredible range of ingredients. We’re talking hot, juicy, mouth-wateringly tasty meals! (view a sample standard menu)
All standard meals are included in our Berkshire Outdoor Center rates. Guests may enjoy three hot meals per day – breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a late evening snack. Meals are served fresh in our dining halls, and always include our fantastic salad bars, a breakfast bar, dessert for lunch and dinner meals, and a vegetarian option for those who choose.
|
Beverages are available 24 hours a day in the Dining Hall, and include coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold sweetened drinks, milk, and our favorite, healthy option… water. Orange juice or apple juice is served at breakfast.
All groups have the option of upgrading their meal service from the standard meals offered (included in the price) to premium meals. The premium meal upgrade must be selected for all group participants, for all meals. The cost of the premium meal upgrade is $5 per person, per meal, for all meals during the group’s stay. Hot Meals and Salad Bars |
Just to clarify - we serve a hot meal, every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner (view a sample standard menu). We can accommodate premium meal requests for an additional $5 per person, per meal, for the duration of the group's stay.
At lunch and dinner, we always have our famous salad bars. The salad bars are stocked with tons of fresh salad vegetables, and there's always some interesting stuff on there too - sometimes these include tomato/mozzarella & kalamata olives, prosciutto, cous-cous & vegetables, gorgonzola cheese and a hundred other delectable options with international flavors. |
|
Vegetarians and Other Diets |
Every meal we serve has a vegetarian alternative for those who do not eat meat. Vegetarians in the group should introduce themselves to the food service staff after the meal begins and will be served a tentalizing option sans-meat.
We can cater to vegan groups, but not always to vegan individuals within non-vegan groups. Due to the amount of meals we must prepare for our groups, it is difficult to cater to individual special needs within the group.
Occasionally we have requests from groups asking if they can provide their own service. Unfortunately we do not offer this as an option. We prefer to provide our own food service, included in the price. Very occasionally we are able to heat meals provided by user groups for them, such as kosher or halal meals, but those meals must originally be supplied by HACCP vendors, to ensure that the food is certified to be a healthy, sanitary option.

Allergies and Health Concerns |
In planning for your group's trip, the Program Director assigned to host your group will ask for a list of allergy concerns approximately two weeks prior to your visit. We will then prepare meals accordingly. The two week window is required so that we have time to purchase ingredients and plan meals for each specific group. As you can imagine, this is a complex process.
We understand that allergies are difficult to manage and we do our best to accommodate for all known food allergies.
All of our Food Service Managers are Servsafe Certified - providing the most sanitary and healthy meal service possible.
