Why The Berkshires?

The Berkshires are gorgeous... just gorgeous. Any season in the Berkshires can be beautiful - the rolling green hills in the Spring, the clean white snow in the depths of winter, and the dazzling colors of the foliage in the autumn. The air is fresh, the water is clean, the woods are pristine.

Culturally, the Berkshires are the home of Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow Dance, Hancock Shaker Village, and a thousand other attractions!

Geographically, the Berkshires are a short hop from Albany, NY, Springfield, MA, Hartford, CT, and less than two hours from Boston, MA, Providence, MA and only 2.5 hours from New York City. Close enough to get here, but far enough to feel like you've gotten away!

What Are Some Other Things To Do in the Berkshires?

As a home for dance in the United States, it encompasses an internationally acclaimed summer dance festival (the first and longest-running in the United States), a professional school, rare and extensive archives, an intern program, and year-round community programs.
