Challenge Courses

The Berkshire Outdoor Center is home to the largest, most comprehensive Challenge Course facility in the North-Eastern United States, with over 60 combined low and high elements.

The new High Ropes Course at our Chimney Corners Camp site is a double-storey "stacked" course built by John Lazarus at Northeast Adventure (Winsted, CT). It is unique in design, many of the elements newly conceived ideas not seen before in Challenge Courses.

BCCYMCA Challenge Courses & Challenge Course Policies, Procedures and Inspections are certified by ACA, ACCT, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety. CCC's new High Ropes Course includes the following elements:

Our Chimney Corners Camp site also has a low ropes challenge course, Alpine Tower with a Giant Swing and an Indoor climbing wall that provides year-round climbing opportunities for groups.

In addition to the extensive ropes course at the Chimney Corners site there is a full high ropes course, low ropes challenge course and bouldering room at our Camp Becket site.
