In July, Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA welcomed over 160 alumni, parents and staff to Chimney Corners Camp for the 2012 Annual Luncheon. Hosts CEO Phil Connor and Board of Trustee Chair Jack Sharry welcomed special guest speaker and former Camp Becket Executive Director Lloyd Griffith who spoke on taking over the reins following Don Shellenberger.
Under Lloyd’s leadership, Camp Becket continued its prominence in the camping world, reaping the praise of families who entrusted their sons to the camp during Lloyd’s tenure. In his remarks, Lloyd said, “I am a changed person for having been here. Life will never again be the same for me.”
