Parent-Child Weekend
In today’s busy world it is often difficult to find one-on-one time with our children. How often do parents and children get the chance to participate in exciting activities together? The Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA is pleased to offer a Parent-Child Weekend, designed especially for new and returning Camp Becket and Chimney Corners Camp families.

The Parent-Child Weekend will allow new camp families to experience the joy of the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA facility for the first time. This weekend will provide a great opportunity to bond with your child(ren), create lasting memories and familiarize yourself with the camp property and programs. The schedule for the weekend is designed to allow parents and children to enjoy activities together. This is also a wonderful time to meet the staff of the YMCA and other families who are part of our community.

If you already know us from the summer months, then surely you remember Moms’ and Dads’ Weekends at Chimney Corners and Camp Becket. The Parent-Child Weekend is a chance to have a similar experience with your son or daughter. You will have a chance to see the camps as you may never have seen them before!

What’s special about a Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA Parent-Child Weekend?


Hearty and nutritious meals are served family style in our spacious dining hall. We do all of the cooking and dishwashing!
Families are assigned a room in one of our winterized lodges.
Age-appropriate activities are built into each day's schedule.
Special evening activities are held each night to bring parents and children closer together.
All program activities are included in the fee.
Participation is at your own pace and of your own choosing.

Activities

The winter is a special time in the Berkshires. Indoor and outdoor fun abound in our beautiful camp setting.
Activities may include:

  • Cross-Country Skiing *
  • Ice Skating *
  • Hiking
  • Nature Activities
  • Broomball
  • Sauna
  • Crafts
  • Campfire
  • And much more!
    *(Some activities are weather dependent)

Program Details

Time: Check in starts at 5:30 PM on Friday, and check out is at 1:30 PM on Sunday.
Housing: Families will be housed in the winterized lodges at Chimney Corners Camp.
Registration: Registration is on a first come, first served basis, and requires a completed registration and health form plus a non-refundable deposit
