It was 8:00am Friday January 14 th , when I received the call asking me if I had signed my letter of agreement to become the new CEO of the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA and at the same time informing me that the Chimney Corners dining hall had burned to the ground. Nothing like getting a “warm welcome” to a new job. The next morning I was sitting in the basement of the Administration building meeting with staff and trustees developing an action plan to address the situation.
