Donate to Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA

As a charitable organization, BCCYMCA is dependent upon contributed dollars to maintain the quality of our programs and facilities. Gifts to the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA help provide camperships, fund programs, improve facilities, support program & staff development and assist in creating other exceptional leadership opportunities for staff and campers worldwide. While we offer high quality programs, the tuition covers only a portion of the cost of programs and related services. Gifts and income from our endowed funds make up the difference.

You DO NOT need a Paypal account to use this Paypal service. Credit Cards are accepted.

Annual Fund Drive
You make an investment in our youth with a gift to the Annual Fund Drive. In 2007, 173 youth experienced the magic of summer at Camp Becket or Chimney Corners Camp thanks to the generosity of our donors. Additionally, 69 youth and youth-related organizations received financial support to participate in our Youth Travel Programs, Berkshire Outdoor Center and our Becket Day Camp. A gift from you will allow us to continue impacting the lives of young people in a profound way by teaching lasting values … like respect, honesty, caring and responsibility. Our goal is to raise funds that will be used to provide financial assistance to some of the many individuals that wish to attend one of our programs.

Capital Projects
Money raised will be used for much-needed capital improvements to Camp Becket and Chimney Corners Camps.  The funds will be used to help with such projects as rebuilding the Rudd Pond dam, repairing the Camp Becket library and improving staff housing. These are projects we could not afford to take on without help from generous donors such as yourself! In the past we have raised millions to support projects such as the rebuilding of the Chimney Corners Dining Hall and our Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Camp Becket Dads' Association
Over the past ten years the Camp Becket Dads’ Association has raised more than $1.2million for a variety of worthy projects. In 2007 the Dads’ Association raised more than $167,000 used to provide financial assistance to deserving families and maintain Camp Becket facilities. Past capital projects funded by the Dads include a 35’ climbing tower, the creation of a new athletic field, and six new tennis courts. Additionally, each year the Dads’ Association purchases program equipment that cannot be funded through camp operations. Such purchases have included sailboats, kayaks, woodworking equipment, and cameras.

Chimney Corners Camp Moms' Association
The Moms’ Association assists the camp in making improvements in programs and facilities and raises funds for camperships. In 2007 the Moms’ Association raised more than $96,000 ($600,000 over the past 10 years). Past capital projects funded by the Moms’ include improvements to the horse barn/stable area and the complete renovation of the Ina Gibson Lodge (the camp’s original dining hall until 1974). Recent program equipment purchases made by the Moms’ Association include Adirondack chairs, a set of chimes, and tables for the Arts Center. More information about the Moms' Association

CityKids School Program
A new initiative through our Outdoor Center, the CityKids School Program provides financially-challenged, inner-city youth to attend our programs as part of their school curriculum. Donations are accepted in blocks of $2,500, each block allowing 50 students to participate in our Outdoor Education and Leadership Development Programs. A donation totalling $5,000 will allow 50 students to attend our programs for an overnight stay, participating in Low Ropes, High Ropes, Climbing, Boating, Winter Sports, Environmental Education and more. Our programs are built around our strong Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA values. More information available at www.bccymca.org/seasons/programs/schools/citykids.htm
