Trustee Steve Cowell arrived with his son Chris today to make a significant donation of plants to be used in the landscaping of the new building. Just on time to lend a hand unloading the truck was CEO Phil Connor, Becket Director Dave DeLuca and CVO Kim Armstrong-Silcox.

Meanwhile inside the building, the culinary staff - comprising of Tom Marshalek, Director, Mik Monti, Senior Chef, and Keith Sharp, Senior Chef, along with many Food Service Staff - served the first "official" meal in the new building. The newly arrived CCC staff and staff who worked Work Week who returned from a day off all ate together inside the new building.

All CCC meals will now be eaten under one roof in the CCC Dining Hall.

In appreciation of the hard work done over the past 18 months by the CCC Food Service Staff, we have made another web page: CCC Food Service Staff

With the unsightly temporary kitchen out of the way, the view of the new Dining Hall from the Chimney Green has really opened up. It is a spectacular building, from near and far, and the view down the green is immense.

Jeff Gregor - Becket staff alum has arrived to wire and setup the new office network in the dining hall offices. The dining hall has become the new main office for the summer camp and the computer network needs to be able to support at least 10 staff computers. The building is now complete.

DiNicola continues to landscape the grounds around the new Dining Hall. Craig Tighe has commenced the removal of the temporary kitchen and grading of the Chimney green outside the ArtsCenter. Tommy and the 2006 CCC Culinary Team have commenced preparing meals in the new kitchen. The first "unofficial" meal in the dining hall was a meal prepared by and for the food service staff. The new staff were encouraged to prepare a dish from their home country (they are from all over the world) and contribute to the feast that they shared together.
