CEO, Phil Connor, Volunteers and Staff Meet the Day Following the
Fire
New CEO, Phil Connor,
volunteers and staff, quickly responding to news of the fire,
met the morning of January 15 at the Becket-Chimney Corners
YMCA Administration Center. They are seen here inspecting
the ruins of the CCC Lovejoy Dining Hall.
The
group discussed plans for providing interim foodservice accommodations
to our outdoor center and summer camp communities and plans
for rebuilding the CCC Dining Hall. The group agreed that
with hard work and the support of our camp community we would
have a new Dining Hall at CCC by the Summer of 2006 and interim
foodservice in place within a month.
We are thankful for all
the volunteers who so quickly responded to our request for
assistance. With the great support of staff and volunteers
we will quickly move ahead.
