The Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA wants to bring camp to our alumni all over the United States. The following are just a few of the events we have planned for 2008. Brooklyn, NY - May 8, 2008
All New York Alumni welcome...we will be meeting at Union Hall in Park Slope at 8:00 pm (located on the corner of 5th and Union Street in Brooklyn). Please contact the Development Office (alazur@bccymca.org) if you need further information.
Boston, MA - May 10, 2008
All Boston Alumni please join us for an evening out on the town. We will be gathering together for food and drinks from 7-9:00 at Sweetwater Cafe (located at 3 Boylston Place). Becket, MA - Alumni Weekend, Sept. 12th-14th, 2008
This year we will be celebrating all 10, 20 and 30 year reunions of past program participants and staff from YTP, Camp Becket and Chimney Corners Camp. If you were in any of these programs in the years 1978, 1988 or 1998, please join us for a weekend of fond memories. Registration forms are available below.

Work Weekend

When is Work Weekend? Spring: April 25-27, 2008, and Fall: Nov 7-9, 2008.

What is Work Weekend? Work Weekend is an opportunity for the children of our summer camps and day camp and their families to give back to the organization that has given them so much. Major projects that comprise work weekend include shutting down or opening up our non-winterized facilities, grounds clean-up, splitting firewood and cleaning cabins for the summer season.

Who’s invited to Work Weekend? Work Weekend is only open to people who have done it before and summer camp and day camp families from the past summer and the next summer. Extra spaces may be filled by current Alumni.

Alumni Weekend

What can you expect at Alumni Weekend? Swimming, singing, boating, hiking, relaxing in the library, great food, reconnecting with old friends, a campfire with songs and skits, and so much more!

Who’s invited to Alumni Weekend? Former campers and staff and their families. Bring a crowd! Accommodations will be available at both camps in camper cabins as well as in the winterized lodges at CCC.

Alumni Weekend Registration (pdf)

Fees and payment for Alumni Weekend: The cost for Alumni Weekend is $45 per adult, $35 per student (ages 13-22) and $25 per child (ages 4-12). This nominal fee includes 2 nights’ lodging, 5 delicious meals, 2 evening snacks, and s’mores at the campfire! Children ages 3 and under are free of charge.

Full payment in advance of the weekend is requested. Please make checks payable to Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA and return with your completed registration form. A confirmation packet will be mailed to you after receipt of your registration and payment. Sorry, there will be no reduction of fees for missed meals/late or early departures.

Annual Luncheon

The Annual Luncheon is an opportunity for our organization to thank those who have contributed to its success over the past year, through dedication, hard work and selflessness. The buffet lunch includes a wide selection of breads, a deli bar and assorted salads, and is festively decorated with an array of fruits and vegetables. The lunch is a joint effort of the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA Food Services, with Shaz Atwell, Mik Monti and Keith Sharp managing the preparation.
