Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the essential lifeblood of our organization, every year raising the crucial unrestricted dollars that allow Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA Camps and Berkshire Outdoor Center the flexibility to subsidize the operating budget in two essential areas: camperships and programs.

Camperships - Campership dollars within the Annual Fund allow the camps to continue our long held tradition of never turning down a family because of lack of resources. In 2011 more than 250 camperships will be made available to deserving families thanks to the Annual Fund and all who support it.

Programs - Annual Fund dollars also go to program areas such as new resources, equipment or staff to further enhance activities and the outstanding overall camping and rustic outdoor experience our children and families enjoy every year.


The 2011 Annual Fund

In 2010 donors supported our programs like never before, with donations increasing by more than 16% and donors up by more than 54%.  The 2011 Annual Fund will again be the most ambitious ever, seeking to reach its goal of $700,000 from more than 1,750 donors.  This year, when asked, please consider how you can participate in supporting the Camps, the Berkshire Outdoor Center, our growing community of children and families, and the Annual Fund in 2011. When making your gift, we hope you will join other alumni, parents and friends at one of our Leadership Societies or Giving Club levels below.

The Annual Fund runs from January 1 through December 31. Gifts and pledge payments must be received (dated and postmarked) by December 31 for inclusion in the Annual Report. Thank you for your continued support - it is so vital to all we do, and most deeply appreciated!
