Hank Uberoi
Montclair, NJ
Elected 2007
Hank joined the tripping staff at Camp Becket in the 1980s and spent several summers leading campers on canoeing and hiking trips around the Berkshires; since then, the camp "trip" has certainly continued for Hank and his family. His wife was Chimney Corners staff, his son has come through the Becket ranks to Aide, and his daughter is now a Chimney camper herself. Hank volunteers for the board because he knows there is something unique about what the camps offer to young boys and girls in their development. He sees his own kids reaping the same benefits he saw in his campers years ago. Hank spent fifteen years of his career at Goldman Sachs before moving on to manage a Chicago-based hedge fund. He currently invests in private and public companies in the UK, India, US and Latin America and brings his extensive experience to the board's investment committee. Inspired by his board work that helps bring the camp experience to families who might not otherwise afford it, Hank is dedicated to ensuring that the camp is around for the next 100 years. For Hank, camp is "truly a special place" "especially on Dads'" Weekends.
