Dr. Derek Tate is a former Camp Becket camper, Aide and CIT. He is a
graduate of Haverford College as well as a Yeshiva University and
Columbia University trained physician. Formerly a family practitioner
and now a board certified psychiatrist, Derek brings a sophisticated,
eclectic and multidisciplinary approach to his treatment of psychiatric
illness and emotional difficulties. His areas of academic interest are
community and public psychiatry, administrative psychiatry, program
development, primary care psychiatry and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
He also has an interest in cross cultural psychiatry and Gay, Lesbian,
Bisexual and Transgender related issues in the context of treatment.
