Eileen grew up with Becket and Chimney campers but unfortunately never went to camp. Lucky for her, she was recruited to the Becket waterfront staff during college by those same childhood friends. Instantly hooked on the sense of community, the dedication of her fellow staff, and the pure joy she saw in the experiences of the campers, she continued her camp career as an ICEP and REACH leader and a regular volunteer. Over her years associated with the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, Eileen has found friends and a home in the camps that are lasting and genuine. She volunteers for the board to help preserve the mission and values that she admires, and to give back to a place that has given her much support and friendship-in good times and bad. Eileen is director of studies for Charlotte Country Day School, an independent school in Charlotte, North Carolina serving grades PreK-12. A Massachusetts native living in the South, Eileen welcomes any excuse to get back to the Berkshires-including a board meeting!
