Syd was a Chimney Corners camper even before the YMCA owned the camp. During her many years as a camper and staffer, Syd forged life-long friends and even met her future husband a Frontier counselor the year she was working in Intermediate Unit. As part of the next generation of CCC, Syd's daughter has spent eight summers at camp and that's just so far. An account manager with a Connecticut insurance agency, Syd relishes her trips back to the Berkshires and finds satisfaction in seeing the camps' traditions and positive influences continue. She volunteers for the board in order to give back to a place that has meant so much and given her so much. And as for those great friendships, they are still going strong. In fact, Syd's best friend from Chimney Corners regularly stays over at Syd's house on the way to drop off and pick up her son at Camp Becket!
